About Us

Humble Beginning

On March 2011, three (3) Waraynons composed of NADA employees, namely: Merlin C. Flores, Joel G. Meras, and Antonio L. Roldan, Jr. enrolled in a Photoshop and AutoCAD Training in Al-Khobar, KSA conducted by the Global Pinoy Society (GPS). The Training cost about SAR500.00 per training event plus the cost of transportation from Al-Ahsa to Al-Khobar and vice-versa for 3 consecutive weekends.

One month after the training (April 2011), a meeting with Noel E. Espartero (SSBS Backup Administrator)  and those who attended the said training came up with an idea to conduct an On-site Training in the NADA compound.  Engr. Espartero shared also his willingness to share his expertise on Information Technology that could be taken advantage of the Al-Othman Holding Company employees.

In order that the said plan would materialize, Mr. Flores requested permission from Mr. Claus From Larsen, Plant Director to use the Process Plant Meeting Room which was approved on 9 April 2011.  The group immediately started convincing Filipino employees to attend the training.

During the same month, the first batch of the Training "Microsoft Office Access" was conducted with 9 participants and was followed by "PC Assembly and Troubleshooting Training" with 18 employees working in SAAF, SSBS, and NADA (Al-Othman Holding Company).

OOn 15 June 2011, during the Culmination Activity, the group shared their impressions about the training and came up with the decision to form the group into a formal cooperative organization. Thus, the KABAYANIHAN KOOP was born. It then adopted the slogan: Kaalaman Pagyamanin, Kabayanihan Patibayin. (Enriching Knowledge, Strengthening Heroism).
