Dear Fellow Co-owners of

Holy Child MPC!

For the year 2012, we, the Management Team humbly present the accomplishments of Holy Child Multi-Purpose Cooperative (HCMPC).

Through the concerted efforts of the Board of Directors, Officers, Management Staff and your undying trust, support and patronage as loyal member/owners, the Holy Child MPC has once again exceeded its targets and was able to deliver more than what was expected. Our total consolidated assets have now reached to 100M and a net surplus of 2.6M compared to last year which was 2.3M. Our delinquency rate has lowered from 23% to 20.7%. This is due to the fact that most of our members if not all are now aware of their responsibilities, because every time the cooperative conducted ownership meeting, Financial Literacy is emphasized to the members.

We are glad to inform the general membership that last Assembly meeting was well attended. Lunch was served and the members wore uniform t-shirts out of the raffle conducted for the purpose. Thanks for your support and participation. In doing so, we’ve added color to the event without sacrificing the coop’s finances. Therefore it is very significant to note that the Holy Child MPC members had actualized one of the coop’s core values which is “HELPING PEOPLE HELP THEMSELVES” or the value of “SELF-RELIANCE”.

Year 2012 has been very challenging to the cooperative leaders. For the Board of Directors, Officers, and Committee Members of the cooperative were required to comply the training requirements as per Rule 7 of the Implementing Rules of Regulations (IRR) of the Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008 – “Functions, Responsibilities and Training requirements of Board of Directors, Officers and Committee Members”. These trainings should be complied with in two year time, 2012 and 2013. These trainings are “must” to those who are aiming to become officers of the cooperative.

For strengthening the coop’s success the Board of Directors, reviewed and updated coop’s policies and even hired the services of a consultant to study and review our products and services. These resulted to the Manualization of updated policies. With the help of our consultants we have also installed and implemented a new loan product, Micro-Finance which was launched on August 8, 2012.

We had also sponsored scholars from high school up to college. In the school year 2011-2012, we took pride of two (2) successful graduates in two different courses. Ejay Talamo, Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) and Nestor Bito, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) respectively from the Bato Institute of Science and Technology. They are now currently employed in the cooperative and with this, we experienced both socio-economic growth in coherence to our coop’s vision, which is for “Socio-Economic Transformation of Members and Community”.

A series of Ownership Meetings were conducted throughout the year. The purpose of which were to establish strong relationship among the members, informing the members on the updated policies, educating the members on Financial Literacy, classification of members of good standing and informing the issuance of share certificates to members in the future.

For the Housing project updates, out of the 90 lots we have 13 lots vacant (6 economic and 7 socialized lots). For those members who are interested, please feel free to come to the office. We’ve started the construction of the concrete perimeter fence by phase and continuity of this project will depend upon the availability of funds.

The Pensionne has now started to recover its losses from previous operations. We have also added one (1) room dormitory type that would accommodate 6 persons. Function hall is open for trainings/seminars, events for all occasions that will not exceed 100 pax.

To the General Membership, the success of the Holy Child MPC is achieved through working together, for Cooperation with Coordination leads to “SUCCESS”. Let us continue helping with each other in paving the way towards future triumphs. May Sr. Sto. Niño always shower us with His blessings and send the Holy Spirit to guide us in managing this cooperative towards the total Human Development.

God bless us all.

Sincerely yours,
